What is the Think 3D event about?
Think 3D is an exciting 12-hour hackathon exclusively for college students, aimed at fostering innovative 3D design ideas that address societal challenges and create meaningful impact.
Who is eligible to participate in Think 3D?
The hackathon is open to college students from all fields of study who are interested in solving real-world problems through innovative 3D design.
Do I need prior experience with 3D design to participate?
No prior experience is required! Mentors will be available during the hackathon to guide you. We encourage creativity and innovative thinking above all else.
What tools and software will be available?
We provide access to industry-standard 3D design tools like Tinkercad, Blender, Fusion 360, and other required software. Feel free to bring your own laptops and tools for convenience.
Is this a team-based event or can I participate individually?
Both options are welcome! You can form a team of 2-5 members or participate individually. If you’re solo, we’ll help you find a team on the spot.
What is the schedule of the event?
The hackathon is a 12-hour event, starting at 10:00am and concluding at 10:00pm. The schedule includes an opening ceremony, brainstorming sessions, design time, mentorship slots, and final presentations.
Is the Think 3D Hackathon available both online and offline?
Yes, Think 3D is available in both online and offline formats! Participants can choose to attend in person at the venue for a hands-on collaborative experience or join virtually from the comfort of their own space. Details about the platform for online participation will be shared after registration.
What do I need to bring to the hackathon?
Bring your college ID, a laptop with the necessary software installed, chargers, and any additional tools you think you might need. A positive and creative mindset is a must!
What if I don’t have a laptop? Can I still participate in Think 3D?
Absolutely! If you don’t have a laptop, we will provide shared access to systems equipped with the necessary 3D design software during the hackathon. Just let us know in advance while registering so we can make the necessary arrangements. Creativity matters more than the tools you bring! 😊
Are there prizes for the winners?
Yes! Exciting prizes, certificates, and potential internship opportunities await the winners. There may also be prizes for special categories like “Most Innovative Design” or “Best Societal Impact”.
Will participants receive certificates?
Absolutely! All participants will receive participation certificates, and winners will receive special recognition.
